NOW OFFERING ANIMAL-ASSISTED THERAPY.

Hey there…I’m Brenda.

Welcome to the Trauma Recovery and Treatment Center. My purpose is to help survivors of trauma recognize their worth and realize their full potential through trauma-informed care and the hope of the gospel. I believe in the power of healing and change…and want to partner with you as you take steps to freedom!

Trauma leaves a mark on your mind, body, and soul. It can leave you frozen, affecting your relationships, taking away your sense of security, and causing you to lose hope. It could even lead to the use of drugs and alcohol to cope with the emotional pain and traumatic memories. But healing is possible...and you can have the life filled with peace and joy that you've always wanted.

Using a holistic approach that blends various modalities such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, psychodynamic theories, EMDR, and spiritual practices, we will work together to build self-awareness, recognize unhealthy patterns that do not serve you well, and create new patterns that promote healing and wellness.

Court fees

Clients are strongly discouraged from having their therapist subpoenaed or having their therapist provide records for the purpose of litigation. Even though clients are responsible for testimony fees, it does not mean the therapist’s testimony will be solely in the client’s favor. The therapist can only testify to the facts of the case and provide a professional opinion if the court qualifies the therapist to do so. Asking a therapist to provide confidential records or testimony can damage the trust built in a counseling relationship, particularly if counseling is ongoing.

An appointment will need to be set up for a subpoena to be served during office hours. A notice of 72 business notice is requested for any court appearances so that schedule changes for clients can be made within a reasonable time frame.

PLEASE NOTE: If a subpoena or notice to meet attorneys or investigators is received without a minimum of 72 business hours notice, there will be an additional $300 express fee charged to the client.

When it comes to court action, the following fees are in effect:

  • Preparation Time (including submission of records): $400/hour (billable in 15-minute increments)

  •  Phone Calls: $400/hour (billable in 15-minute increments)

  •  Depositions: $400/hour

  •  Time required giving testimony in court: $400/hour

  •  Time away from office due to Depositions/Testimony: $400/hour

  •   Filing document with the court: $150

  •  The minimum charge for a court appearance: $2000

A retainer of $2000 is due at least 72 business hours before the scheduled court appearance. The remainder of the costs will be billed after the court appearance and will be due upon receipt.

If the therapist is subpoenaed and the case is reset with less than 72 hours notice prior to the beginning of the day of the scheduled subpoena, trial, and/or testimony is not given, then the client will be charged $500 (in addition to the original retainer of $2000 for having to appear in court).
